An Accurate Method for Computing the Delay Margin in Load Frequency Control System with Gain and Phase Margins

In traditional power systems, a dedicated communication channel is utilized to transfer the frequency measurements. With deregulation and reconstruction of information sent through shared network that makes time delays unavoidable in load control (LFC) systems. existence delays, LFC system becomes standard delay complicates stability analysis controller synthesis. this paper, we present new approach for analyzing determining margin system. By introducing variable, transcendental equation converted nonlinear equations. To find crossing frequencies, equations are solved, which simpler than solving set linear matrix inequalities. A single-area multi-area selected as case studies. The method accurately determines with phase gain margin. effect PI gains on also considered. sensitivity conducted discover effects parameters margin, it found primary loop have powerful influence region clearly identified proposed method. studied. Compared published methods literature, has structure while giving more accurate results.
